“Around here, the most precious thing there is is time alone with Angie.”
“That’s 24 hours to talk, to laugh, to really connect with Angie. It is an incredible advantage in the race for her heart. And, gentlemen, this rose will be given out before the end of this cocktail party.”
Not surprisingly, all the lads were frothing for the coveted first-time yellow rose.

“Man, the 24-hour roseis the biggest game-changer,” said I-brought-a-bunch-of-sunflowers-guy Timm.
“You can learn so muchabout a person in 24 hours. So, 100%, I’m gunning for that.”
Firefighting puppy wrangler Jamie was super keen for the flower, too
“Spending 24 hourswith Angie this early onwould be the perfect opportunityto really solidify that spiritualconnection between the two of usfrom the red carpet.I really want that rose.”
But after a quick chat with her brother Brad, who slipped into the group of guys as a spy, Angie chose chiselled-jawed hunk Carlin to wear the yellow rose.
He also looks like he’s carved out of marble, although that’s something that Brad failed to mention.

Pulling Carlin aside, Angie explained to the total hunk:
“The reason why I wanted to give you this rose is that we didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time together earlier this evening. But as soon as I met you and looking into your eyes, I just felt like you were somebody I want to get to know. And then you went out of your way to, you know, write that song for me, which usually I would find quite cringe, to be honest… I didn’t, though!
“That’s why I thought that there’s something different about you, because I really loved it. Carlin, I wanted to know if you will accept this yellow rose?”
Carlin had that sucker pinned on faster than you can say “BRING ON THE GENTLEMEN” and wore it proudly to the first rose ceremony of the show… where we were all horrified to watch as smarmy politician Jess received a rose and made it through to night two.
Sadly, we did have to say goodbye to two guys whose names didn’t… actually… come up all that much during the episode (that’s the way premiere cookie crumbles, right?), but see ya later, Oliver and Josh, hope you boys had fun!
