At this point, Roxy Jacenko is equally as well known for her platinum blonde mermaid mane as her entrepreneurial skills (remember that time she turned someone pooping outside of her office into a deal with Metamucil?) So, imagine our shock when we learned that she’d taken the plunge and chopped her signature strands off.
On Wednesday, the 40-year-old mum-of-two took to Instagram to debut her new hairdo with her 256k followers.
“It was time,” she captioned a selfie taken while hairdresser Travis Balcke was working his magic on her tresses.
Hours later, she posted a follow-up snap of the finished product: a chin grazing ‘mum bob’ styled into a deep-side part. “Oh hey,” she wrote alongside the snap, which racked up more than 17,000 likes in just a few hours.
The compliments came in thick and fast, with many of Roxy’s famous friends sharing their thoughts.
“HAAAWTT! Wow!!” wrote former Bachelorette Ali Oetjen. “You look fantastic!!” added journalist Melissa Doyle. One fan likened the look to a blonde Victoria Beckham, penning “Posh spice!!”
Roxy is the latest in a long line of celebs to succumb to the scissors, joining the likes of Miley Cyrus and Jennifer Lopez.
