Action roles in Black Widow and Transformers One have made Scarlett Johansson one of the most recognisable faces on-screen, but it is her real-life relationship with husband Colin Jost that is really one of Hollywood’s most epic romances.
“I didn’t know what I wanted or needed from somebody else. I think identifying those things was a game-changer for me,” the previously unlucky-in-love Johansson said on the Goop podcast in April 2023.
She added that her relationship with Jost has been successful because they “move around the world in the same way.”

Who is Scarlett Johansson married to?
Scarlett Johansson tied the knot with Colin Jost in 2020.
Jost is an American comedian, writer, and actor, who is best known for his work on Saturday Night Live.
Jost has been a writer on the skit show since 2005 and a co-anchor of the “Weekend Update” segment since 2014.
Jost opened up about their rumoured romance for the first time while walking the Emmy’s red carpet in 2007.
“She’s pretty cool … it’s hard to have a lot of complaints, she’s pretty awesome,” he told Entertainment Tonight at the 2017 Emmy Awards. “I’m very happy. I feel very lucky.”
In April 2018, the couple debuted their romance on the red carpet for Scarlett’s film Avengers: Infinity War.
After two years together, Johansson’s publicist Marcel Pariseau confirmed that the pair were engaged, telling the Associated Press that they hadn’t yet set a date to tie the knot.
In October 2020, Johansson and Jost tied the knot in an intimate ceremony surrounded by friends and family.
While the pair did not share any glimpses into their ceremony on social media, Meals on Wheels America confirmed the Hollywood couple had tied the knot, writing to Instagram,

How did Scarlett and Colin meet?
The couple first crossed paths in 2006 while backstage at Saturday Night Live when Scarlett was hosting and Colin was a part of the show’s writing room.
“The first time she hosted was the first year I was a writer on the show,” Jost later revealed to People. “So, we’ve kind of known each other since then … she’s the best.”
Despite hitting off as friends, the couple were not romantically linked until May 2017, when Page Six reported they were spotted kissing at a Saturday Night Live afterparty.
Not long after their engagement was announced, Johansson returned to Saturday Night Live to make her sixth appearance as host.
“It’s great to have you all back,” she said during a monologue.
“I just want to say that this place means so much to me. I have so many friends here and I met the love of my life here. Merry Christmas.”

After almost one year of marriage, Johansson and Jost welcomed their first child together.
Announcing the arrival to Instagram in August 2021, Jost wrote, “Ok ok we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much.”
Shortly after the birth, sources speaking to People offered more insight into the couple’s life with their newborn son, telling the publication, “They are very private but elated over the baby. They are both so happy and madly in love with the baby.”
“I feel very fortunate that I’ve been able to take this time to really enjoy the early stages of motherhood with our son. It’s been wonderful. I’m in a baby bliss bubble,” Johansson told Entertainment Tonight in November 2021.
Johansson also has a daughter 9-year-old daughter called Rose Dorothy with ex-husband Romain Dauriac.

Her marriage to Jost has turned out to be a case of third time’s the charm for Johansson who was married twice before.
She wed first husband Ryan Reynolds in a secret ceremony in Tofino, British Columbia, on September 27, 2008, after a year of dating.
“I mean, the first time I got married I was 23 years old,” she later told Elle UK. “I didn’t really have an understanding of marriage. Maybe I kind of romanticised it, I think, in a way.”
The actress gave love a second chance in 2014 when she headed down the aisle in Montana to tied the knot with French journalist Romain Dauriac.
The former couple welcomed their daughter Rose just a month after their big day, but again things didn’t work and they divorced in 2017.
