Talking to the hosts Sophie announced, “I am going to be hosting Love Island.”

After appearing on this year’s Bachelorette series, Monk has been the centre of rumours to host the show for weeks and now it’s official – this time it will be the TV star playing cupid!

Based on the incredibly popular UK series, the new show will feature a bunch of male and female suitors sent to an island and forced to couple up. Any islander who remains single is booted out and couples swap partners as the season progresses.
