Mel B’s soon-to-be ex husband, Stephen Belafonte is fighting for joint custody of their five-year-old daughter, Madison as well as visitation rights to Mel B’s daughter with Eddie Murphy, Angel.
Brown recently put out a restraining order against Belafonte that requires him to stay away from all three of her daughters as she requests sole custody of the girls, The New York Post reports.
Belafonte’s lawyers have written to Mel B’s legal team requesting custody rights.
“Stephen would like to schedule a meeting as soon as possible to discuss the resolution of temporary issues including his ability to see Madison and Angel, whom we would appreciate continuing to have contact with,” state the documents obtained by TMZ.
The film producer seeks visitation rights to Brown’s middle child as he feels that she is his daughter as well having been a “marginal” part her upbringing, says the site.
Esteemed actor, Eddie Murphy initially denied that he was the father of Angel when she was first born in 2007, but a DNA test proved that he was her father.
