Shameless’ Jeremy Allen White stars as young fine dining chef Carmy who returns home to help run his family’s Italian sandwich shop in Chicago after tragedy strikes. We waited with bated breath for this comedy-drama to drop, and now there are two seasons to keep us occupied.
Only Murders in the Building
Our favourite slashie Selena Gomez stars alongside comedy greats Steve Martin and Martin Short in this delightful mystery-comedy that sees three neighbours act as amateur sleuths to solve – you guessed it – a murder.
Scandal
If you like a bit of soap mixed in with your thriller, Scandal starring Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, a former media consultant to the US president might be the binge for you. It’s full of twists and thankfully has seven seasons.
You’re the Worst
It’s a clash of the egos in this sitcom that focuses on two self-centred people who strike up a relationship after meeting at a wedding. The show also looks at mental health in an honest light and the chemistry between the main characters makes for very compelling viewing.
Candy
If you’re a true crime fiend, limited series Candy starring Jessica Biel will have you on the edge of your seat. The series is based on the true story of Candy Montgomery who was accused of the murder of her friend and neighbour in 1980 – and is full of deceit and adultery in suburbia.
Wedding Season
Throw a bit of action, romance and comedy into the mix and you get the genre-bending thriller series Wedding Season.
Grey’s Anatomy
And last but certainly not least, the blessed blast-from-the-past, Grey’s Anatomy. Fall in love with McDreamy (and then cry your eyes out) all over again by rewatching the entire 19 seasons. Comfort show-rerun-viewing, sorted.
