Sun, sand, and a whole lot of steamy makeout sessions. This year’s season of FBoy Island Australia was certainly not lacking in the drama department, but amidst the trials and tribulations of their time on the island, Krystal, Nicole, and Ally each found their nice guy at the end of the series.
As a former contestant on The Bachelor, Krystal was no stranger to the reality TV dating game but with the contestants now vying for her affection (or the generous $50,000 cash prize), our girl brought her humour and little black book of receipts to the table to keep the boys in check.
While we’re all still grappling with Jerome’s f-boy status reveal, Krystal’s integrity and no bulls*** approach to the dating game quickly made her a fan favourite and after literally charming the pants off many of this year’s contestants, Krystal ended up finding her match in fellow Bachelor alumni Paddy.
Speaking of shock confessions, Krystal’s final night on the island was not without its jaw-dropping moments, with Paddy’s fellow finalist Doug revealing that he had fallen in love with her right before she had to make her final decision.
“My jaw was on the floor. I was like, ‘In love with me?‘ I think I was trying hard to not self-sabotage and absolutely believe someone… In my head, I was like, ‘How can you love me so hard after two weeks? How is this possible?’ Krystal told PEDESTRIAN.
Although Doug was an absolute sweetie, Krystal felt that she could envision herself more with Paddy in the future and with that revelation at the front of her mind, she followed her heart and left the competition with Paddy.
Are Krystal and Paddy still together?
While they may have left the island together, the drama was far from over, with Krystal confirming that she and Paddy are no longer together.
“He completely blindsided me during the show. The nice guy act he put on for me and the viewers is not what was true after the cameras stopped rolling,” she told news.com.au, adding, “I think if anyone were to ask if f-boys can be reformed, I’d say definitely not, and Paddy is a clear example of that.”
After leaving the show together, Krystal shared that she and her new gym manager beau attempted to navigate a long-distance relationship, however, Paddy did not show up to the party.
“I think with long distance, both parties have to give it 100 per cent, otherwise it’s never going to work. I definitely kept up my part of the deal, and he just did Paddy.”
Looking back on her experience, Krystal shared that while she may not have found ‘The One,’ she definitely made some lifelong memories, telling the publication, “I just had a really great time kissing all the boys, calling out their behaviour, the sisterhood. Everything for me was just amazing.”
