She’s so tall now! Suri Cruise is growing up fast, with the pre-teen daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise seen leaving her New York apartment, bags in tow, looking like quite the young lady.
The 12-year-old has led a relatively normal life away from the spotlight after Katie’s divorce from Tom. He was last seen in public with his daughter back in 2013.
There was talk of Suri reuniting with Tom, 56, in Orlando last year, while Katie and Jamie were holidaying in Miami, but Katie’s rep denied the reports.
Tom has reportedly chosen not to see Suri, as she’s not a Scientologist and her mum is considered a “suppressive person”. He has never commented publicly on the speculation.
“Every person is allowed to see their child if they wanted to,” a source told Us Weekly. “He chooses not to because she is not a Scientologist.”
Katie reportedly prefers her daughter to not speak to Tom, for fears that Suri could be “brainwashed” by the Scientology community.
“It’s not surprising that Suri is confused by the lack of communication between her parents,” a source revealed to Star magazine.
“She’s growing up, asking more questions and it’s becoming harder to shield her from the whispers. She wants to speak to her dad.”
Tom’s lives in a luxurious penthouse in Clearwater, Florida with his adopted son Connor, 24, who’s also a devout Scientologist.
