The Block has sure made its mark on Australia television this year – with the builds, contestants and drama becoming frequent topics of discussion.

With houses built on a scale never seen before on the show, it’s no wonder the season has been full of excitement – and controversy, with teams getting pushed to the limit to create amazing spaces on a strict schedule and budget.
It’s no wonder fans are curious about the finale episode. Not only do we expect the huge country properties to fetch a lot of money, tense recent episodes suggest some teams might not quite reach the finish line.
“This is by far the toughest season that I’ve ever worked on. We upped the ante with the biggest blocks ever, and very harsh country weather conditions,” explained host Scott Cam to TV Black Box.
“To their credit, our Blockheads have produced some stunning five-bedroom houses on 10 acres each – they’ve really built the country dream for five lucky Aussie families.”
“Anything can happen on auction day, but we’re gunning for them to each take home some money. They all deserve it after this year’s slog.”

The Block: Tree Change finale will be available to watch on both Channel 9 and 9Now for Aussie viewers.
When are The Block Auctions and final episode?
The Block Auctions will air on Sunday, November 6 at 7 pm. This final episode will also reveal the all-important auction order and reserve prices.
At the moment, it’s likely Tom and Sarah-Jane will choose the auction order, as they have won six room reveals throughout the season.
Who will win The Block 2022?
On both sites, Tom and Sarah-Jane are listed as the predicted winners, with odds of $2.00 on both Sportsbet and TAB.
It’s an interesting turn of events since both sites listed Ryan and Rachel as the predicted winners just weeks ago.
Sportsbet lists Omar and Oz second with odds at $3.75 and Ryan and Rachel coming close behind them with odds sitting at $5.00. Meanwhile, TAB predicts Rachel and Ryan will come runner-up with odds of $3.50 and predict Omar and Oz will come in third with odds currently sitting at $5.00.
Both sites have listed Dylan and Jenny as coming in fourth and Ankur and Sharon as coming last.

What is the prize for the winners of The Block?
The winners of The Block: Tree Change will take home an additional cash prize of $100,000 on top of whatever profit their home makes above reserve on auction day.
In the past, The Block has dished out some of the biggest prize money in Aussie reality TV history. Since it premiered in 2003, the show has awarded a total of $28,771,471 in prize money!
Is there going to be a new season of The Block in 2023?
Although we don’t know when the next season of The Block will air, all signs definitely point to another season.
But don’t expect The Block 2023 to be set in the country again – next year the show is heading back to suburbia, with reports Channel 9 has purchased five brick homes in the Melbourne Bayside area.
The Block 2023 will take place on Charming Street in Hampton East. And if the location sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the neighbouring suburb to The Block 2021’s location on Bronte Court.
