On Friday night Beyoncé and Jay Z enjoyed courtside seats at Game 6 of the NBA finals.
Photographers had a particularly keen eye on the couple that night, eventually capturing Beyoncé giving fellow courtside fan a sneaky side glance.
The media instantly spotted the viral potential of the photo. The Huffington Post, tweeted an altered version of the photo making fun of the fan. They captioned the picture, “Never look Beyoncé in the eyes, you fool.”
However the fan in question, Steve Cespedes, saw the Huffington Post’s tweet and shared it with Beyoncé during the game.
Cespedes then took to his Twitter account to share a hilarious comeback photo captioned “Who is looking at who now?”
Cespedes clarified the ins and outs of the incident on Twitter; he said, “I’m the dude in the picture. Both Beyoncé and Jay Z were beyond polite and very gracious. The pic was her idea.”
He continued, “I showed her the Huffington Post tweet, we thought it was funny, she came up with this idea.”
