TV lovers, I come with good news!
This morning, Foxtel announced that casting is open for two new households to join the three-time Logie award-winning series, Gogglebox Australia. And for the first time, those households will be from Brisbane!
So if you’re a couch potato from the Sunshine State who has a lot to say when you turn on the telly, get off your backside and apply because you could very well be appearing on the small screen in a matter of months!
“We’re very excited to find Queensland personalities to put in the mix,” executive producer David McDonald said. “When Gogglebox first started we were restricted in what we could accommodate with the fast turnaround of the show. Now in our fifth year of production, it’s time to expand, so it was decided (very wisely) to go north and capture the unique voice of the Queensland territory.”That means that in less than a month we’ll be watching the hilariously candid cast critique the best and the worst of 2019’s television programmes.”
This seasons cast is a 60/40 split of Melbournites and Sydneysiders, so the Brisbane households will join brother and sister Tim and Leanne, best friends Anastasia and Faye, best mates Adam and Symon, Matty and Sarah Marie and their friend Jad, married couple Lee and Keith, the Silbery Family, the Jackson Family, the Delpechitra Family and the Dalton family.
Gogglebox Australia Season 9 is available to stream weekly following its broadcast on Foxtel’s Lifestyle channel!
