The 16-year-old actress is walking away from Summer Bay’s Raffy Morrison, who she has played for the past three years, after being cast as a princess in an upcoming Disney movie.
“Secret’s out! I am so excited to announce I am playing Princess Roxana in the new Disney+ movie called Secret Society of Second Born Royals,” she announced in an Instagram post.
“I am thrilled to be filming in Toronto with a bunch of wonderful new people.
“But I wanna say that I know there have been lots of rumours about me leaving Home and Away, and don’t worry, you still have a lot more of Raffy to look forward to on-screen.”
Olivia continued by thanking Home and Away for giving her the “incredible” opportunity to “grow as an actor”.
“While I’m not currently filming in Summer Bay, I’m forever grateful for what I have learned and the people I have met,” she added.
The actress spoke to WHO last month about growing up on screen.
“I started on the show when I was just 13, like I hadn’t even hit puberty at that point.
“From the three years I’ve been on the show, I’ve gone through puberty.
“You know, your body fluctuates and one size one week to the next and I think it was difficult being on TV and I think I would watch myself and I could see that I was this size, this size and I think I struggled with that for a bit,” she revealed.
