Upper Middle Bogan fans will be sad to hear that there are no plans for more episodes.
The creators of the Australian comedy series Wayne Hope and Robyn Butler told the Herald Sun that the show couldn’t continue because of casting issues.
“We couldn’t do any more Upper Middle Bogan because of cast (even though) the ABC was desperate to do more,” Butler said.
Upper Middle Bogan, starring Glenn Robbins, Michala Banas, Patrick Brammall and Annie Maynard, aired on ABC for three seasons.
Season one and two are also streaming on Netflix.
Most of the cast, which also includes Rhys Mitchell, Dougie Baldwin, Madeleine Jevic, Robyn Malcolm, Robyn Nevin, Harrison Feldman, and Lara Robinson, are pursuing acting in the US, which has put the show on hiatus.
However, Hope and Butler are working on a new ABC comedy Back in Very Small Business.
Upper Middle Bogan is streaming on Netflix now.
