Tyra Banks is well known for being a model, actress and TV personality among many more labels. She’s the inventor of the ‘smize’ and has just vaulted her way back to the No. 1 spot on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Top TV Personalities chart.
The chart, released on September 26, ranks the most popular TV personalities across social media with data provided by the social media analytics company MVPindex collected from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google Plus and YouTube.
Followers, subscribers and levels of social media interaction are all taken into account when producing the chart with TV personalities being defined as performers who have their own TV series or are the main host of an entertainment or news show.
Tyra currently hosts America’s Got Talent and with her new No. 1 spot has knocked Queer Eye‘s Jonathon Van Ness to second place.
Van Ness’ co-star Antoni Porowski comes in at number 3 with The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon following in fourth and American journalist Jake Tapper rounding out the top five.
This is Tyra’s first number one spot since June 27th and her twelfth week in the spot overall.
K-pop boyband BTS helped boost Tyra’s ranking after their appearance on America’s Got Talent boosted her Twitter likes 332 percent to a total of 1.2 million likes total.
