It’s a sad day today. Why? Because Vanessa Hudgens and her partner of nine years, Austin Butler, have reportedly called time on their relationship.

An insider confirmed the devastating news with Us Weekly, claiming the seemingly loved up couple secretly spit in late 2019, however, decided against sharing the news publicly.
“Vanessa and Austin are officially broken up, and Vanessa has been telling those close to her about their breakup,” the source close to the actors spilled.
The former couple— who met on the set of High School Musical while she was dating Zac Efron— recently sparked split speculation when fans noticed they didn’t spend the holidays together.
As we know, The Knight Before Christmas actress was flaunting her incredible winter getaway in Vals, Switzerland, however, Austin didn’t appear in any of the photos she shared to Instagram.
Then, on December 13, the stunning singer spent her 31st birthday with her younger sister, Stella Hudgens, who surprised her while she was filming for Netflix’s, The Princess Switch: Switched Again.
Once again, Austin was missing from the festivities.
Austin hasn’t appeared on Vanessa’s Instagram page in over two months— a telltale sign in 2020 that things aren’t quite right.
The last time she shared a snap with the Once Upon A Time In Hollywood star was on October 31, wishing her fans a happy Halloween.
“Happy Halloween from my family to yours,” she captioned the post showing the couple dressed in gothic costumes.
Vanessa— who confirmed she was dating Austin in September 2011— opened up about her deeply private relationship with Austin in November 2019, telling Women’s Health that they’re not quite ready to take the next step in their relationship.
“I want to get married, travel, then have kids— probably in my late 30s. Everyone’s clock is different,” she said.
