What is The Peripheral about?
Set in the year 2032, Chloë Grace Moretz stars as Flynne Fisher as she and her brother Burton, played by Jack Reynor, play simulations (“Sims”) for high-paying customers to beat challenging game levels.
As per the synopsis, things take a turn when Flynne is tasked with breaking into a corporation known as the Research Institute to “steal a valuable secret” in a Sim that takes place in London.
“When the assignment goes wrong, Flynne begins to realise the Sim is more real than she ever could have imagined,” the synopsis reads.
We later learn that the London she’s exploring exists in the future – the year 2099 to be exact – and Flynne’s discovery in the Research Institute has put her and her family in grave peril.

In this thrilling sci-fi drama, we’ll follow Flynne as she encounters Wilf, played by Gary Carr, in Future London, a man who may be the key to unlocking the mystery at hand.
“But first, in her present, Flynne and Burton, along with his former elite military unit, must rally to save themselves from forces intent on killing them—forces sent from the future to reclaim the vital secret Flynne stole.”
Who is cast in The Peripheral?
Joining Chloë Grace Moretz (The Miseducation of Cameron Post), Jack Reynor (Midsommar) and Gary Carr (The Deuce) in The Peripheral are Eli Goree (One Night in Miami…), Louis Herthum (Westworld) and JJ Feild (TURN: Washington’s Spies).
T’Nia Miller (The Haunting of Bly Manor) will also star in the series, as will Charlotte Riley (Peaky Blinders), Alexandra Billings (The Conners), Adelind Horan (The Deuce), Alex Hernandez (UnREAL) and Katie Leung (Chimerica).
Furthering this all-star cast list are Julian Moore-Cook (Peaky Blinders), Melinda Page Hamilton (Messiah), Chris Coy (The Deuce) and Austin Rising (Alt).
