The LA-based actress returned Down Under returned home on November 13 and took to Instagram to reveal a painful injury she suffered while cooped up.

Esther, 41, shared images of what appeared to be a broken toe and another of her foot in a moon boot, captioning the post, “Quarantine life”.

Despite sharing photos of the injury, Esther didn’t reveal details of how exactly the mishap occurred.

The actress, best known for her role as policewoman Charlie Buckton on Home and Away, lives in Los Angeles with her husband Howard Moggs and their two-year-old son, Forest.

Although the bright lights of Hollywood have offered opportunities for her acting career to blossom, Esther told New Idea last year that she often misses her home country of Australia.

“There’s so much opportunity [here in LA] and this is where my husband [Howard Moggs] and I met, but there are just certain little things that I miss about home,” Esther said.

“There is still a part of me that would love to be close to my family, and Howard is definitely open to living in Australia at some point.

“I think Australia’s always going to have my heart.”

“It’s made us realise just how important family is and what’s at stake,” she told Channel Seven’s The Morning Show.

“I’ll definitely be cherishing my time spent in Australia and try and spend more time at home after all of this is over.”
