Who is Farmer Joe?
A passionate rugby player and lover of horses, fishing, and travel, Joe's infectious charm and playful personality make him a social butterfly wherever he goes.
What sets Joe apart? Well, he's not your average farmer. Having travelled the world through rugby league opportunities, Joe boasts an encounter with royalty, having shaken the late Queen's hand when his grandma received the Australian of the Year award.
His interests range from breaking in horses to wild camping, and he's looking for a partner who shares his zest for life. Joe is seeking someone beautiful inside and out, strong, independent, and content with themselves. He values honesty, open communication, and mutual respect, believing in the importance of sharing common interests while maintaining individual hobbies.
In a relationship, Joe brings adventure, laughter, and unwavering support. He's ready for fatherhood and envisions a future filled with love, happiness, and perhaps a "paddock full of kids." With love as his guiding principle, Joe hopes to be enjoying the simple joys of life on his farm's verandah, sharing a few beers with his partner in five years' time.
Will he find what he's looking for? We hope so! Tune in to this year's Farmer Wants a Wife on Seven and 7+ to find out.
Is Farmer Joe a real Farmer?
Shortly after the season began airing, rumours began to swirl suggesting Joe was not a farmer, instead a FIFO worker who simply lived on his family's farm.
But he was quick to deny the allegations, telling Yahoo! Lifestyle that the rumours were "pretty unfair."
“I grew up here in Bombala, NSW. I’m a part-owner alongside my mum and dad, which is not uncommon for any sort of younger person," he explained.
“Like a lot of blokes my age, farmers, things like that, we weren’t sure what we wanted to do when we finished school and stuff...I went out and got into construction, did a lot of FIFO when I was in my early 20s, which led to the money to be able to buy part of the farm from my parents," he continued.
“I’ve used my skills that I’ve learned along the way to be able to do these things, but my address and my home is here on the farm. And I spend the majority of my time here. Everyone tries to make it out like you can’t be a real farmer if you have a second income. I don’t really understand that, like most people have a second income these days.”

Inside Farmer Joe's Journey on FWAW
The first round of speed dating saw Farmer Joe choose five women to return to the farm with him; Claire, Keely, Sarah, Calya and Chelsea.
While it was Claire, who received the first solo date of the season, the following double date saw Farm Joe choose his first elimination.

Who did Farmer Joe eliminate?
“Definitely feeling a lot of pressure about the first farewell, mainly because I’m still tossing it up. It’s coming right down to the wire,” Farmer Joe shared before his decision.
Forced to choose between Chelsea and Keely, he ultimately decided to send prison guard Chelsea home.
Following a double date, Chelsea was sent home.

Who will Farmer Joe choose?
Whilst we may still only be at the beginning of the season, many fans are curious to see who Farmer Joe ends up with. Although we'll have to wait a bit longer to see, fans have begun looking towards betting odds to get a feel for who is in the lead.
At this stage, Sarah is pegged as the winner of Farmer Joe's heart, with odds of $1.40. The only other close contender at this stage according to Sportsbet is Claire, who is sitting on odds of $4.00.
