That’s right, Gogglebox Australia has just announced a return date for the 12th season and it’s sooner than you may think.
Fan favourites including Lee and Keith, Matty and Sarah Marie and “uncle” Jad as well as Anastasia and Faye will all be back on screens from August.
The show will kick off on Foxtel’s LifeStyle Channel on Wednesday, August 26 at 7.30pm and then the following day, Thursday August 27, it will air at 8.30pm on 10.
“The last season of Gogglebox hit our screens just as we were all forced into lockdown and sharing this strange experience with our favourite families as we watched the world change day by day was a really powerful experience, loved by more people than ever before,” Group general manager of LifeStyle, Wendy Moore said.
“It’s like a balm that instantly connects you to the rest of humanity, and I know the LifeStyle audience is hungry for another season to start.”
It’s been a busy few months for Gogglebox stars Matty and Sarah Marie Fahd in particular after they welcomed their first child, son Malik seven months ago.
Since being welcomed into the world by his loving parents, the little bub has been a cute addition to the Gogglebox couch.
And despite Matty and Sarah Marie’s close friendship with their Gogglebox co-star Jad Nehmetallah, their good friend was surprisingly not their first pick for Malik’s godfather.
Speaking to LifeStyle last month, Sarah Marie revealed it was a different person in Malik’s life who was bestowed with the special honour – Matty’s brother Kris Fade.
“My brother in law was meant to come in July, because he’s Malik’s Godfather,” Sarah Marie told the publication, revealing the COVID-19 restrictions had put some of baby Malik’s celebrations on hold.
“Malik couldn’t even have his christening,” she added.
