Robbo from Home and Away, played by Jake Ryan, first appeared on the long-running Channel 7 show on July 25 2017 after he attacked fan-favourite Alf Stewart (Ray Meagher).
It was then revealed that Robbo was suffering from post-traumatic amnesia and doesn’t actually know who he is, and the nurses name him “Robbo” after Robinson Crusoe. Robbo ends up staying in Summer Bay to try and find answers about his identity.
As his storyline develops, Robbo eventually forms a relationship with Kat (Pia Miller) after she breaks up with boyfriend Ash (George Mason). A clue about Robbo’s past comes when he and Kat find pictures of his arm around a woman before finding a body in the house.
After a confrontation with a man named Dennis Novak, who tells Robbo his real name is Beckett Reid, he learns that they were once partners in crime. Dennis kidnaps and tries to murder Kat, but Robbo saves her, kills the man and buries him in the bush.
Trying to escape from the police, Kat and Robbo are involved in a major car accident which leaves her dead. Whilst Robbo discovers, he finds a picture of himself with a woman and kids, and finally tells Tori (Penny McNamee) that his real name is actually Ryan Shaw and the people in the photo are his wife and family.
So after all that drama, what exactly happened to Robbo from Home and Away? Well, it was finally revealed by the AFP that Robbo is Ryan Shaw, a former federal police officer who went undercover as ‘Beckett Reid’ to track down the people who killed his family.
Robbo was sent to Summer Bay to protect Kat as part of his undercover mission.
Robbo’s name was finally cleared, so he decided to stay in Summer Bay. Now a new storyline has emerged, with Tori asking Robbo to be the father of her child, which has seen a love triangle emerge with the parents-to-be and Jasmine (Sam Frost) who has feelings or Robbo.
