With her iconic derriere and tiny waist, Kim Kardashian has one of the most photographed bodies in the world but as you’d expect. But it takes a lot of hard work to get that hourglass figure.
It’s no secret that as one of the planet’s biggest celebrities, she has all sorts of health and wellness resources at her fingertips but the mum-of-four does stick to the tried and tested methods of healthy eating and regular exercise as well.
In February 2021, Kim shared a photo of herself flaunting her toned midriff captioning it: “Plant based does a body good.”
When she’s at home, the A-lister revealed that she sticks to a plant-based and vegan diet and her private chef whips up meals like vegan tacos or zucchini noodles.
A former junk food fan and sugary iced tea addict, Kim has learned to embrace health foods and even admitted to sister Kourtney’s lifestyle website Poosh that she drinks sea moss smoothies!
“Before and after you train, you should eat simple carbs, like sweet potatoes, and small amounts of fat and protein, like chicken,” Kim has said. “You should also have vegies with your meals, since you need them to help effectively break down and absorb your protein, fat and carbs.”
Exercise wise, Kim works out six mornings a week for around 60 to 90 minutes with trainer, Melissa Alcantara.
“Eighty-five per cent of our training is weight training, and the other 15 is made up of cardio,” Melissa told Women’s Health magazine.
Kim also stays motivated by keeping her schedule organised to a tee.
“I will lay my clothes out the night before so when I sleep in, I’ll wake up at 5.53[am] instead of 5.45, and I just know my outfit is there,” Kim said.
“I have a toothbrush and my toothpaste all ready to go, laid out by my sink. I just have to brush my teeth and go to the gym.”
Kim works hard at the gym and has a strict healthy eating regime, but she’s had some help in other ways to achieve her look.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star has denied having a nose job, a boob job or butt implants and even had a butt X-ray done on the show’s sixth season to prove it but has admitted to undergoing Botox injections.
Kim’s also an avid fan of lasers, which she has used to remove stretch marks, perfect her complexion and re-sculpt her hairline.
On top of that, the mum-of-four swears by body sculpting – a form of body contouring that activates intense muscle contractions that can’t be achieved through exercise. In fact, the Vive Sculpt Treatment that’s available in Australia is like doing 50,000 crunches in 30 minutes – wowsers!
Fans have even undergone plastic surgery, namely the Brazilian butt lift, to replicate Kim’s look.
“I think people should do whatever makes them happy,” Kim said in 2019 when asked what she makes of people wanting to achieve her body. “And I think that people should also like to be themselves.”
In 2019, Kim also released her shapewear line SKIMS and explained that she’s been using the stuff for years.
“It was like when everyone was getting bras and underwear, I was always getting shapewear,” Kim said in a promotional video.
“There were times when I’d triple shapewear it up and people would write me all the time and be like ‘Oh my god you look so good after the baby’ and I’m like ‘That is three pairs of shapewear, that’s like not me.”
She added: “I feel like shapewear has been at least a decade or more in the making for me just from how I would cut everything up and sew it myself and just really reconstruct it all.”
