She was named the world’s youngest self-made billionaire in 2019 – so Kylie Jenner definitely has enough spare to change help those in need.

And it seems she’s done that, amid reports the youngest in the Kardashian-Jenner clan has donated a hefty sum towards Australian bushfire relief efforts.
According to PEOPLE mag, the 22-year-old is forking out $1 million US (almost $1.5 mill in Aussie dollars), which is to be shared amongst various relief efforts around the country, which is suffering its worst bushfire season to date.
The reality star-turned-makeup mogul’s generous donation comes after she received backlash for posting an Instagram Story that was labelled “insensitive” and “out of touch with reality” by her Australian fans.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star shared a photo showing off her Louis Vuitton real mink fur slippers, just moments after lamenting the deaths of more than half a billion animals who’ve died in the devastating wildfires currently consuming our country. Kylie coupled the photo of a koala being rescued by a firefighter with the caption, “This breaks my heart”.
“That post was completely unintentional,” an insider shared with PEOPLE.
“Kylie stands behind her desire to want to help provide relief towards the devastation the fires have caused.”
While it may seem like a knee-jerk reaction to the criticism she copped online after her Insta story boo-boo, the mum-of-one was always planning to send money to Down Under, reports E! News.
“We’ve confirmed that she was already in the process of donating before the backlash started, and her intention was always to donate to the cause,” the entertainment outlet reports.
This might be true but, unfortunately, the fur faux pas wasn’t Ky’s only problem post in the past couple of days.
Yesterday afternoon, the 22-year-old reality star turned billionaire shared a stunning photo of herself sitting in front of her fireplace with the caption, “find ur fire 🔥“.
While most commented on Kylie’s bright yellow hair and fishnet onesie, many Australian fans gently reminded her of the tragedies currently unfolding in our country.
“If anyone needs fire… you can have ours— Australia,” one Instagram user commented.
Clearly recognising that her comment could be deemed offensive or insensitive, the mum to Stormi Webster — who boasts 156 million followers on the social media platform — quickly altered the caption to “Night out” and deleted the fire emoji.
Kylie’s older sisters, Kim and Khloé Kardashian, have also been slammed for their online actions amidst Australia’s ongoing crisis.
While they’ve been vocal on social media in the past few weeks in raising awareness about the ongoing bushfires that are raging throughout the country, fans weren’t impressed that neither Kim nor Koko had made mention of a donation.
“Nothing gets me more heated than to see the Kardashians/Jenners talk about climate change/wildfires & not donate even a penny,” one of Kim’s Twitter followers wrote.
In response, on January 7, Kim tweeted: “Nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything.”
Khloé also hit back at claims she didn’t donate to the Australian bushfire fundraisers.
“Good deeds should be done with intention and not for attention. We are all blessed to be able to bless others even if it is in the slightest way,” the reality star said.
“We do not need to be boastful about that. Be boastful in regards to teaching others how they may be able to help as well.”
