She’s a best supporting actress nominee for Lion at February 26’s Academy Awards, but right now Nicole Kidman has a newer project taking up her attention.
Joining Jennifer Garner, Julie Bowen and Kerry Washington as the latest global ambassador for skincare company Neutrogena, “I just shot my first commercial that airs in March,” said the star, 49, “which is kind of amazing.”
The new job is just one part of what’s making Kidman happy. With daughters Sunday, 8, and Faith, 6, growing up and her marriage to singer Keith Urban in its eleventh year, “Right now I can honestly say I am loving life more than ever,” said the star.
Keen to maintain that life, Kidman said her health, including that of her skin, is a “top” priority. “Look, the reality is, we all know choosing the right anti-ageing product is trial and error, hit or miss,” she said. “But at this point in my life I am looking for something that simply works.”
The role is close to her heart, Kidman said, because she learned “from the time I was a little girl” growing up in Australia to protect her skin from the sun: “But as time passes, I’ve realised that, sun protection has become just part of the story…I’ve learned that your skin needs a lot of attention and support, just like the rest of your body in order to keep it its healthiest.”
