Try to resist buying these immaculate pieces

You probably don’t need any more reasons to shop this year, but if you are looking for some new clothing pieces and accessories to shop, we’ve rounded up our favourite new fashion picks for April 2024.

From what we’ve bought this past month, to what we have been eyeing for our wish list, the WHO team have rounded up their April picks and it’s a pretty good mix of items.

Dresses, tops, jeans and bags, the WHO’s fashion edit is a diverse list of fashion pieces to shop right now in Australia.

damson madder blouse
Lola Blouse Bow Print, £75.00 from Damson Madder
I don’t have the words to adequately express how much I need this blouse in my wardrobe immediately.

I’m an absolute fiend for an oversized collar and a puffy sleeve, so this Damson Madder number ticks all my boxes.

djerf avenue australia
Forever Blazer Grey, $319 from Djerf Avenue
I can’t remember a time before I was endlessly influenced by Matilda Djerf, and the grip her signature oversized grey blazer has on me hasn’t let up.

I’m a firm believer that oversized outwear instantly makes any outfit better, and I’ve yet to find one that looks as effortlessly chic as this one from Djerf Avenue, so I think it’s time to finally add to cart.

red shoes dazie the iconic
Dazie Bonnie Studded Mary Jane Ballet Flats, $69.99 from The Iconic
I had my eye on the iconic red Gannie shoes, but just couldn’t bite the bullet since a) they were $$$ and b) I’m not one to really mix it up in the shoe department (I stick to my trusted sneakers and loafers).
This red pair from Dazie was the perfect middle ground for me, giving me a cheaper and more realistic way to dip my toe into the world of fun work shoes and so far I’m loving it! It’s a great pop of colour under a trouser or jean and makes my usual work uniform that bit fancier.

blanca white lace skirt the iconic

Keris Skirt by Blanca, $320 from The Iconic

Blanca has long been one of my favourite Aussie brands and I’ve got my eye on this lacy skirt at the moment. The perfect layering item as we head into the colder months, it’s feminine yet edgy and the perfect investment piece to add a little character to a capsule wardrobe.

green and pink adidas gazelles

Adidas Originals Gazelle Indoor Sneakers in Green & Pink, $200 from ASOS

You know those jokes about girls who love green and it seems to be the only thing they care about? Today I am that girl. Green everything, starting with this pair of Adidas Gazelles in green and pink.

With a classic gum sole, and vibrant contrasting colours, this bold pair of gazelles is exactly what I’ve been looking for when it comes to my ever-growing sneaker collection.

While I don’t want to become the sneaker lady who lives in her shoes, I do wear them every single day. So for me, it’s a cost-per-wear investment.

green and white striped shirt.

ASOS Edition Oversized Cotton Shirt in Green Stripe, $105 from ASOS

Carrying on with the colour scheme, this green and white striped shirt is one I’ve been eyeing off for a while. I’m planning to pick it up in the Afterpay Day Sales later this month.

I love my classic blue and white striped shirts, but sometimes I feel a little too ‘Bananas In Pyjamas’ when I’m wearing them on high rotation. I think the thin green and white stripe of this option adds a little style and fun back to the wardrobe staple.

adidas jumper green and yellow stripe

Adidas Originals Retro Logo Sweatshirt, $102 from ASOS

This girl has a green problem? I know! But aren’t you loving the retro vibes of this sweatshirt? It’s cosy, comfy and adds a vintage touch to street style looks.

And if this isn’t your colour vibe, it also comes in a cute brown and pink option

dr martens zebag black shoes australia
Dr Martens Zebag, $259.99 from Dr Marten

I’m a dedicated fan of both Dr Martens and my Birkenstock Bostons so when I saw Dr Martens released their take on the on-trend silhouette, these shoes immediately shot to the top of my wishlist.

I have quite a few pairs of Docs in my collection, and the platform sole and two-way strap on the new Zebzag might just make them the newest pair to join my collection.

neuw denim vest

Neuw Denim Vest, $79.98 from Neuw Denim

I’m a sucker for a vest and this denim number from Neuw Denim is one that I’m eager to add to my collection. I love the asymmetrical buttons and the dark wash makes this vest a great day-to-night piece.

LEVI’S 501 ’90s Jeans, $159.95 from The Iconic

I’ve made the difficult decision to part with my jeans. I know devastating. But after realising that high-rise and straight-fitting jeans are literally the most uncomfortable clothing item on earth, I’m trying to lean into the more slouchy denim look. Although mid-rise scares the hell out of me, these jeans have quickly become the cutest (and comfiest) pair of everyday denim.

coach lana shoulder bag

COACH Lana Shoulder Bag, $895.00 from Coach

A bit of a splurge item, but this Coach bag is at the top of my wish list at the moment. A classic silhouette and can fit literally everything, I have been completely influenced by the TikTok girlies and need it stat.

For the longest time, I had been coveting the TikTok favourite Baggu Medium Crescent and with an overseas trip coming up, I thought it would be the perfect time to finally take one home.
I went for the bag in the Aloe Green colour, and it really does fit everything in it!

ganni re-cut stripe oversized dress

GANNI Re-Cut Striped Cotton V-Neck Maxi Dress, $222.50 from Ganni

GANNI – When it comes to a statement collar, my mindset is always the bigger the better.
I’ve been on the hunt for a fun summer dress that’s versatile to style, and this 100% cotton smock dress from GANNI is definitely high on my wishlist.

dazie nostalgia stripe oversized boyfriend tee

DAZIE Nostalgia Stripe Oversized Boyfriend Tee, $49.99 from The Iconic

As someone who lives in t-shirts, I’m always on the hunt for the perfect addition to my wardrobe. This tee is my new obsession, after purchasing the blue stripe I’m adding the white and black to cart immediately! The sleeves are long (to the elbow), the neckline is high and even (no weird oblong shapes) and the material means the shirt is breezy and comfy without sacrificing structure. Nothing worse than a clingy t-shirt in this weather, let me tell you.
new balance 9060

NEW BALANCE 9060, $230.00 from New Balance

I went a little hard on the fun, colourful sneakers in 2023. So now my wardrobe is missing much-needed neutrals. I love the shape and fun wavy lines of these 9060s from New Balance. They’re at the top of my wishlist come pay day.

kate spade cluster charm pendant necklace

Kate Spade Hit The Town Cluster Charm Pendant, $229.00 from Kate Spade

I love the charm necklace resurgence I’m seeing on TikTok – but I am not skilled enough to make my own. Let’s be honest. So I’m turning to Kate Spade and this cute ‘Hit The Town’ necklace. Obsessed with the tiny, bejewelled charms.
