It seems like just yesterday when Georgia Love was wowed by Lee Elliott’s puns as he arrived at the Bachelorette mansion in 2016. And now, the happy couple are officially husband and wife after tying the knot in a stunning ceremony last Friday
The couple married at the stunning Frogmore Creek Winery in Tasmania – a destination wedding despite their original plans of an Italian wedding being dashed by the coronavirus travel restrictions.
Though Lee looked dapper in his white suit and tie, all eyes were on the beautiful bride who donned not one but two gowns by Jason Grech for her big day.
Georgia’s first dress was a floor-length strapless gown featuring a plunging neckline and hidden pockets whereas her second shorter dress featured a tulle skirt and intricate beading.
“The dress(es) of my dreams. Love you so much Jase,” the former Bachelorette commented on Jason’s post detailing her wedding day outfits.
However, the dresses have an extra special meaning behind them as Jason revealed in an Instagram post.
“Fun fact: We dressed Georgia Love the day she met @leeroyelliott on @thebachelorau so we are thrilled to be part of their love story. #happyEverAfter,” Jason wrote on Instagram.
Talk about coming full circle!
What’s more, the couple also recreated the iconic lift from Dirty Dancing as part of their first dance – a move they first tried out on a Bachelorette single date. Watch it in the player above!
Georgia gave fans a sneaky hint as to what her wedding dress would be like back in January when she shared a photo from 2016 when she starred on The Bachelorette.
Dressed in a stunning, floor-length white gown, the photo depicts Georgia strutting towards the camera confidently with a smile plastered on her face.
“2016 Bachie Georgia is present Georgia’s whole 2021 vibe 🤍 #bacheloretteau #throwback #howitstartedvshowitsgoing,” she captioned the snap.
Georgia and Lee’s wedding plans were stopped and started numerous times due to the coronavirus pandemic and in a previous chat with Who, Georgia confessed that she was dress shopping when the country first went into lockdown.
“I was actually in a bridal boutique when my sister read out on her phone that Scott Morrison was holding a press conference announcing that all restaurants were shutting down. I thought, ‘Oh s–t.’ And also, ‘Um, can you concentrate on me in the beautiful white dress?’” she joked.
Despite the original plans to tie the knot in Sicily falling through, it’s safe to say the bride and groom had a blast on their big day.
“It was always you ✨05.03.21 #aloveleewedding”, the former Bachelorette captioned her first photo from the wedding.
Proud husband Lee shared the same gorgeous snap celebrating his and Georgia’s nuptials, writing, “We did a thing! 🤵🏻♂️👰🏼05.03.21 #aloveleewedding.”
