Trends come and go in the world of nails. With manicures climbing their way up the self-care hierarchy, in the age of lockdowns past, we witnessed at-home manis become the way of the future. While our trusty nail salons are back in business (and booming, might we add), the convenience and cost-effectiveness of at-home nail care cannot be beaten.

While time and application difficulty can be drawbacks, with this new nail invention, your future at-home manicures will be easy and beautiful! Let us introduce you to…semi-cured gel nail stickers.
What are semi-cured gel nail stickers?
Semi-cured gel nail stickers are the newest nail technology to hit the market. The oval-shaped sticker tabs are made from actual liquid gel polish which is 60% cured. This makes the nail wraps super flexible and easy to apply.
Get a salon-quality, long-lasting nail application by simply peeling an aptly sized sticker, adhering it to the natural nail, and curing under a UV light for 60 seconds.
How long do semi-cured gel nail stickers last?
Much like a regular gel manicure, semi-cured gel nail stickers can last two to three weeks!
How do they compare to other manicure methods?
Semi-cured gel nail stickers are comparable to a standard gel manicure. Both are cured under a UV lamp for a durable, well-fitted nail finish. The difference being that gel nail stickers are a lot easier. As opposed to numerous layers of polish and curing in between, the stickers are adhered to natural nails and cured for 60 seconds.

On the other hand, while a classic, your everyday nail lacquer will not last as long as the gel stickers.
As other popular nail services, dip powders and acrylics can be rather damaging.
Seeing as they dry hard, gel nail stickers are a great option for those looking to grow out long, healthy nails.
How do you apply gel nail stickers?
Prep your nails by lightly buffing with a medium grit nail file. Remove any dust or oils with an alcohol pad or nail polish remover.
After peeling off the protective layer of film from the sticker sheet, choose a sticker size that best suits each nail (the nail packs often come with a variety of size options). Peel off a sticker and place the adhesive side as close to the cuticle as possible. Then, with your finger or a wooden cuticle stick, smooth out the wrap with a firm pressure, paying attention to the edges where lifting often occurs.
Remove any overhanging excess by trimming and filing until it meets the natural nail.
Cure under a UV light.
And, that’s it!

Tried and Tested: Semi-cured gel nail stickers reviewed
As a chronic nail picker, gel manicures will only last me a few days. Whether it’s the lack of clean edges or nail coverage, I always find something I need to perfect. Skip to chipped nail polish and a slightly emptier wallet… Yeah, they’re unfortunately not for me.
Having tried the Gellae Cloudy Daydream DIY Semicured Gel Nail Sticker Kit on a whim, I’m happy to say they’ve exceeded my expectations.
The pre-formed oval shape can be stretched and adjusted to perfectly adhere to the nail plate, sidewall to sidewall. After peeling the sticker off the plastic sheet, I simply fit it close to the nail bed and smoothed out the wrap in a rolling motion with a wooden cuticle pusher.
After creating my desired fit, and curing for 60 seconds, I was met with a salon-quality gel result- without the fuss!
I’ve definitely been converted to the semi-cured gel nail sticker method.
