Eden Dally and Erin Barnett fell short of winning $50,000 on the first season of Love Island Australia, but the couple are still in love and happier than ever.
“That’s a lot better than winning money and then breaking up,” Erin, 23, tells WHO in an exclusive interview.
Despite rumours that Eden, 25, has a girlfriend before appearing on the show, he clarified the truth, saying: “I told Erin about that girl, literally day one in the villa,” Eden explains.
“I’m not sure if they showed it, but I did say, ‘I was seeing a girl before, but she wasn’t my girlfriend.’ ”
Erin tells WHO that she never doubted her boyfriend, but did confirm that fellow Love Island contestant Grant Crapp had a girlfriend on the outside.
“You wouldn’t go on a show with a girlfriend, especially if it’s just going to get all over the media—aka Grant,” she said.
The couple revealed that once filming stopped, they learnt Grant was still with his girlfriend, Lucy Cartwright, throughout the entire show.
“A few days in he knew that he could milk it for his clothing brand and everything else,” Erin says, claiming, “His girlfriend was running his business while he was away.”
