Posting a risqué photo of herself posing topless on a bed, the reality star revealed that one of her 330,000 followers had criticised her weight in an earlier post.
“Two weeks ago some lady commented “chubby” on one of my posts… I normally shrug the trolls off but this one got to me,” Martha wrote.
“It turned into two weeks of stress, self-hatred and unhappiness.”
Martha explained she was sharing an image of herself stripped down as an act of defiance and self-love.
“So here’s a ‘F–k You’ to that comment. A photo of me today, unfiltered, unedited and a few kilo’s heavier. Knowing that a few long walks and a few salads will get me back on track,” she penned.
“My message to you, and the purpose of this post, is that if you’re feeling bad about the snacks you’ve eaten, the workouts you haven’t done and the number on the scale… self loathing won’t fix sh-t, trust me!”
Continuing the inspiring message, she later added: “I want you to know that putting on weight is not the end of the world.”
Martha is currently dating Michael Brunelli, who she was matched with on the Channel Nine reality show in 2018.
And her school teacher beau had her back during the body-shaming incident, commenting on the image, “Too strong, too confident and too real to let the haters tear you down.”
Previously speaking to NW magazine, Martha described herself as “high maintenance” when it comes to looking good and spilled details on the surgical procedures she’s undergone.
Martha says her motto when it comes to Botox and fillers is, “if you can tell you’ve had it done, then it’s gone wrong.”
“I do Botox,” she admits. “But I like to keep it really understated and natural, so I don’t like to look like I’ve had anything done,” she said.
“I don’t have fillers in my lips – but I do have them in other places on my face… and I’ve had my boobs done … like 10 years ago now”.
The Instagram influencer has also had a rhinoplasty procedure but admitted she suffers low self-esteem and found it difficult to watch herself on TV.
“I am so critical of myself,” she told NW. “I’m judgemental and when it comes to myself, even more so.
“I didn’t like to see myself. But you know what, it is what it is. I’m not insecure, just critical. There’s obviously little tweaks that we all wish we could change about ourselves.”
