Following all of the Final Vows episodes, viewers were treated to yet another dramatic Married At First Sight reunion that could win its very own Logie Award. Production level? High. Over-the-top facial expressions? You bet. Countless cuts to ad breaks in the middle of the most important moments? Always.
WATCH: Mitch and Ella hit it off on MAFS
The new episode saw Brent Vitiello confront his “wife” Tamara Djordjevic at the Dinner Party, telling the table that she had texted another groom during the period between the last Commitment Ceremony and the Reunion.
“Tamara, you tried to pick up Mitch when we got out of the experiment,” he called out across the table, with Tamara asking “I tried to pick up Mitch?”
“We saw the call logs and we saw the messages,” he responded.
We’ve said it once, we’ll say it again: BIG. YIKES. ENERGY.
The table erupted in a mess of wacky facial expressions as the participants tried to figure out what happened between Tamara and Mitchell Eynaud.
And, according to Ella Ding – who is “married” to Mitchell on the show – Tamara hinted at her future actions on the very first night they met.
In an interview with WHO, Ella previously revealed she had a bad “gut feeling” about Tamara from the very first night they met at the hen’s party.
“They didn’t show it, but from the start she said that if she wasn’t happy with her husband she would go for someone else’s,” Ella tells us.
“And that didn’t get aired, so straight away I was like ‘okay this woman’s not here for the right reasons’.”
Also naming Olivia, Ella says the two women made a bad impression on her from the beginning – and says her intuition was right.
“When I look back on it, on my first impressions, everything I thought was right. And everything I thought was going to happen, did happen,” Ella says.
While their Final Vows could certainly be described as messy, Ella and Mitch were actually seen showing up to the Reunion together – saying they had managed to work on the relationship out in the real world.
Which makes the issue of Tamara texting Mitch somewhere in between all the more scandalous.
Mitch, Ella and Brent were a united front throughout the episode, as he revealed he had made them both aware of Tamara’s texts as soon as he received them.
All appears to be above board, there. But it seems Ella and Mitch have called it quits at some stage, because we do know that Mitch and Tamara have been photographed spending time together in recent months.
“Good luck to them, I guess,” Brent told The Wash when asked about the images.
“I know as much as everyone else knows right now,” Ella told Kyle & Jackie O on KISS FM of the rumours, unable to directly answer the question because the show was still airing.
“I’ve seen plenty of comments and lots of articles… I haven’t asked them. I know as much as everyone else knows right now,” she said when Kyle Sandilands asked. “I’m trying not to believe everything I see, but I can’t really confirm or deny.”
“There’s a lot that has been said and done whether its been aired no aired, it hasn’t come out yet,” Ella tells our sister site Now To Love,
“She was texting him, they do call each other, it’s a ‘he said, she said’ situation. But I mean, I’ve been sent a lot of photos, screenshots and conversations so it’s really hard to deny what’s going on but I just can’t confirm it.”
Now that the show has wrapped, Ella wasted no time responding to the drama on the radio with Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa.
“I haven’t seen Mitchell since the reunion,” she told the radio hosts, adding that it wasn’t “straightaway.”
“He definitely started to drop off though and fizzle out. And it was probably about two months ago,” she said. “Articles hit the media and then he sort of just cut me off.”
“I’m still just healing and getting over stuff with Mitchell and Tamara and just all the crap that’s been going on in the past few months, it still gets to me,” she added.
Our hearts break for the wonderful Ella in this crummy situation!
