Australia is fooling themselves if they think they watch Married at First Sight for the ‘true love’. We’re here for the drama and we all know it.
So, Channel Nine has given us what we all want: a spin-off show to promote all the past controversial contestants to couple-swap and hook up with each other.
Introducing Married At First Sight Honeymoon Island.
In a similar format to Bachelor In Paradise, the show will see former contestants brought onto a tropical island, loaded with booze. What else could we want?
Sources close to the project have said that “early discussions have started”. It is set to follow the US format that already exists.
‘Honeymoon Islanders’ so they’re named are coupled up and have to make the decision if they want to get married, or leave the island single once their time is up.
“Everyone’s messaging everyone to try and see if they’ve heard anything or know anyone that’s been formally approached by Nine,” a source revealed to Daily Mail Australia.
“Other people have ever joked about hiding their current relationships if it means they’ll get back on television.”
Channel Nine has yet to confirm the show in a formal sense, but names have already been thrown around to join the cast. They include Ines Basic, Dino Hira, and last seaosn’s Ryan Gallagher and Tracey Jewel!
THIS is what we call TV gold.
