A new report has revealed that Kate Middleton has pipped sister-in-law Meghan Markle to the post as the Queen’s favoured granddaughter-in-law.
Speaking to The Sun, body language expert Judi James explains that the Queen’s behaviour towards the Duchess of Cambridge during their recent trip to Crathie Kirk, a church in Balmoral, suggests a strong bond between the pair.

James notes that Kate and the Queen – who sat side-by-side during the short car trip to the Sunday service, whilst Prince William took the front seat – looked extremely at ease with each other, suggesting the Queen greatly admires and respects Kate, especially given the slew of royal scandals in recent weeks.
“Given the criticism and rumoured scandals swirling around some of the other members of her family, it’s probably no surprise the Queen’s body language with Kate here suggests a rather relaxed looking sense of pride and pleasure,” notes James.
“Kate’s beaming smile with rounded cheeks and a symmetric display of her upper teeth suggests she is equally happy in the Queen’s company.
“Although her subtle, flat-palmed wave hints she’s keen to not upstage her grandmother-in-law.”
In recent weeks, the British royal family has battled intense public scrutiny. ‘eco-conscious’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came under fire for travelling via private jet on four separate occasions.
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew has once again found his name linked to the murky underworld after convicted Billionaire paedophile, Jefferey Epstein – who was once a close friend of Andrew’s – was found dead in his prison cell earlier this month following an alleged suicide.
