And now the charming metropolis has officially trumped its long-time rival Sydney to be named the world’s No.3 best big city in the annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards. Readers placed Australia’s “sophisticated, stylish and free-spirited” cultural capital ahead of the harbour city, which was placed at No.6 on the list, and glamorous destinations like Paris and Barcelona.
