The tragic passing and remarkable life of Aussie model and actress Annalise Braakensiek were marked in a moving ceremony on her treasured Bondi Beach today, with family, friends and fans gathering for a public service.
The crowd of hundreds paid tribute to the star, who passed after a reported battle with depression on January 6.
Among the crowd were Jodhi Meares and Annalise’s grieving ex, Danny Goldberg.
Bondi was a special place for Annalise, who lived there for many years before her recent move to Sydney’s Potts Point. She was also discovered there by a model scout while she was still in her teens, helping to forge a life-long bond.
Frangipanis, the star’s favourite flower, were in prominent feature of the ceremony, and were also worn by Danny, as well as many other guests.
The gathering ended with attendees, including Danny, dropping flowers into the waters that had been such a big part of the late star’s life.
Rest in peace, Annalise.
