Ariana Grande is currently on her Sweetener world tour, smashing out her latest hits from both Sweetener and Thank U, Next.

WATCH Ariana breaks down in tears tributing Mac Miller:

The tour went on without a hitch, however, following the show a local newspaper highlighted that the pop star seemingly didn’t give the late rapper a tribute.

WELL, fans weren’t having it!

“It’s hard enough that ariana has to perform in mac’s home town, which brings back so many memories for her, but now you expect her to pay some huge tribute to him? she has to deal with the pain of losing him every single day, and yet you can’t even consider how she feels?” one user commented after seeing the article.

“This is absolutely ridiculous. ariana is a BEAUTIFUL human being and i commend her for making it through last night. she was full of emotion last night and was holding back sobs for most of the night. everyone mourns differently, and she was honoring him. we all were,” another one added.

In fact, one Instagram account pointed out that while the 25-year-old sang ‘Thank U, Next’, she couldn’t get through the mention of Mac Miller’s name without crying. The next few verses were a struggle for her, audibly sobbing through the lines.

Ari has even kicked off her entire tour by playing a Mac Miller playlist before she hits the stage for concertgoers to enjoy.

“She had all of his songs playing before she came out. And couldn’t even sing ‘Malcolm’ without choking up,” a fan commented in response to the article.

Mac Miller – whose real name is Malcolm – tragically passed away on September 7, 2018. The rapper was found unresponsive in his home by his assistant. He was pronounced dead on the scene by paramedics by a suspected fentanyl drug overdose.
