Australian cricket star Glenn Maxwell has announced his engagement to girlfriend of over two years, Vini Raman.

Both Glenn and Vini took to social media to share the happy news.
Raman, a pharmacist based in Melbourne, captioned the photo, “Last week my favourite person asked me to marry him”.
Fellow Aussie cricketer, Chris Lynn was quick to congratulate his teammate: ‘Congrats big boy!!!’ he wrote in the comments.
Big Bash opponent Liam Livingstone, AFL star Josh Bruce and Lancashire teammate Saqib Mahmood were just some of the other sports stars who rushed to send their best wishes on the happy news.
Maxwell, 31, is currently meant to be in South Africa with the Australian one-day squad, but pulled out of the tour due to an ongoing elbow injury which requires surgery.
In October 2019 the cricket star took some time away from the game, due to mental health concerns, crediting Raman for giving him the courage to open up about his battles.
“It was actually my partner who suggested I speak to someone, she was the first one who noticed it, so I should probably thank her as well,” Maxwell said in December.
“Once I had that initial conversation it was a big weight off my shoulders.”
