Despite revealing he was a married man, Angie Kent couldn’t help falling in love with Carlin Sterritt and chose him as her winner on last night’s finale of The Bachelorette.

Carlin was upfront from the start about his short-lived marriage to ex-wife Taran Higgins, telling the former Gogglebox star that he is was still legally married during their first solo date.
However, Angie can breathe a sigh of relief now as the F45 trainer has revealed he’s officially divorced.
Angie told The Daily Telegraph earlier today: “To me it has always just been a piece of paper… but there was this feeling I did get, this sense of relief.”
Carlin told the publication: “We definitely want to pursue a future together, but talking about marriage is pretty early.”
He also confirmed “I am divorced. It was pretty straightforward because we didn’t have any property or kids together so we just filled out all the forms online.”
The 31-year-old sat Angie down during episode two and revealed his current relationship status.
“I’ve been a little bit nervous coming into this experience because I’m super vulnerable with my story. I am the type of guy who wants to be open and transparent, because, you know, there’s no other way to do it…
“I am… married,” Carlin blurted out to Angie.
“In 2016, I got married. We’ve been apart for a year and a half,” he told an understandably concerned-looking Ange.
“We drifted apart, you know? And I was… I was pretty hurt in the process, and she’s moved overseas now. So, like, for me that was sort of like, you know, I was, like, I’ve closed that chapter of my life.”
“So we filed for divorce and stuff and I suppose that’s sort of just the last stage of that.”
Following their separation in early 2018, Taran moved back to New Zealand, where she now works as an office administrator for a real estate agency.
