Cameron Diaz has given an extremely rare insight into her life as a new mum.

The 47-year-old actress and her Good Charlotte husband, Benji Madden, welcomed their first child together, daughter Raddix, back in January.
However, the trilled new mum opened up about her three-month-old daughter and juggling motherhood during the coronavirus pandemic in an Instagram Live with Who What Wear CEO Katherine Power on Wednesday.
“I love being a mother. It’s the best, best, best part of my life,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “I’m so grateful and so happy and it’s the best thing ever and I’m so lucky to do it with Benj and we’re having the best time. I’m thrilled. I can’t believe it.”
These days, “I’m either cooking, cleaning or taking care of my baby—and usually all at the same time,” Diaz said. “I have to cook at night. I know people hate cooking… I drink [wine] every night it’s my wind down for the day. After we do bath time with our baby and we put her to sleep, Benji puts her to bed. He’s so good. He’s such an amazing father. I’m so lucky he’s my baby’s father. He’s incredible. He puts her down and I go into the kitchen and I pour myself a nice glass of red wine. I start my cooking, I put on my show, whatever it is.”
Diaz admitted that quarantine hasn’t changed her life too much because she had a newborn. “I’ve kinda been living a quarantine life anyhow because I have a three month old, three-and-a-half month,” she said. “So my life has been completely quiet and still for the last few months. But I was able to have my friends over all the time. And now I just don’t see anybody.”
Cameron and Benji delighted fans by announcing the birth of their daughter at the beginning of the year.
“Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden.
“She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.
While we are overjoyed to share this news, we also feel a strong inclination to protect our little one’s privacy. So we won’t be posting pictures or sharing any more details, other than the fact she is really, really cute!! Some would even say RAD 🙂 From our family to all of yours, we’re sending our love and best wishes for a Happy New Year and Happy New Decade…”
Cameron and Benji tied the knot in 2015 , with the Charlie’s Angels actress largely staying out of the spotlight since. She said in 2018 she had “retired” from acting.
