Taking part in an Instagram Live with makeup artist and long-time pal, Gucci Westman, the Charlie’s Angels actress said that the fact she is a morning person and her Good Charlotte husband is a night person helps enormously when sharing parenting duties for their nearly four-month-old daughter, Raddix.

‘Benji wants to go to bed late, and I like to go to bed early… that works so well for us as parents,’ Cam revealed.

‘I can go to bed a few hours early and he does those later feeds with her,’ she continued.

‘I can wake up early and be with her in the morning and [Benji] can sleep,’ the 47-year-old said, adding that she is ‘polar opposites’ with her husband, but that’s a good thing.

‘We all need somebody… somebody who doesn’t do what we do,’ Diaz said, adding it’s a ‘tribal thing’ which she learned from her friend Drew Barrymore.

During lockdown, she’s been as busy as ever, stating, ‘I literally get up and don’t stop moving until I lay my head down on the pillow,’ adding that she ‘loves that feeling.’

Cameron, who is notoriously private, has been opening up lately about life as a new mum.

Last week, the actress spoke to Who What Wear CEO Katherine Power during an Instagram Live.

“I love being a mother. It’s the best, best, best part of my life,” she said, according to Entertainment Tonight. “I’m so grateful and so happy and it’s the best thing ever and I’m so lucky to do it with Benj and we’re having the best time. I’m thrilled. I can’t believe it.”

These days, “I’m either cooking, cleaning or taking care of my baby—and usually all at the same time,” Diaz said. “I have to cook at night. I know people hate cooking… I drink [wine] every night it’s my wind down for the day. After we do bath time with our baby and we put her to sleep, Benji puts her to bed. He’s so good. He’s such an amazing father. I’m so lucky he’s my baby’s father. He’s incredible. He puts her down and I go into the kitchen and I pour myself a nice glass of red wine. I start my cooking, I put on my show, whatever it is.”

Diaz admitted that quarantine hasn’t changed her life too much because she had a newborn. “I’ve kinda been living a quarantine life anyhow because I have a three month old, three-and-a-half month,” she said. “So my life has been completely quiet and still for the last few months. But I was able to have my friends over all the time. And now I just don’t see anybody.”

Cameron and Benji delighted fans by announcing the birth of their daughter at the beginning of the year.
