His former manager, Michael Guirguis (a.k.a. Mike G), who was hired in 2012 to rehabilitate Brown’s image after he assaulted Rihanna, has filed a lawsuit claiming that Brown viciously attacked him with multiple punches to the face and neck on May 10, sending him to the hospital.

“What Mike G assumed would be a run-of-the-mill conversation about the upcoming tour turned into Brown shutting Mike G alone into a room with him and brutally attacking him – punching him four times in the face and neck,” reads the complaint. “The assault was unprovoked and, regrettably, just another attack in Brown’s long history of violent and abusive behavior.”

Brown, 27, responded to the allegations by taking to social media and claiming he actually fired Mike G because he was stealing money.

“I fired them because they’re stealing money,” he says in the clip. “You’re stealing money pal, so you’re mad because you’re no longer existent … God Bless you. Wish you the best of luck.”

Mike G’s attorney, Patty Glaser, tells WHO: “We did everything we could to resolve this in a non-public way to avoid damage to Chris Brown. Regrettably, as outlined in our complaint, Chris Brown has proven to be his own worst enemy.”

Glaser also maintains there is no truth to Brown’s claims Mike G stole money. “We’ve seen Chris Brown’s Instagram post,” says Glaser. “It’s a pathetic reaction to the lawsuit. There is no truth to his claim and Brown knows it. We’ll amend our complaint to add claims for defamation.”
