‘The Real Dirty Dancing’ release date has been announced

It’s official, Channel 7 has revealed the release date for the Real Dirty Dancing – and we’re counting down the days!

The series premiere is slated for Monday, September 30 and will be included in Network Seven’s season of Dirty Dancing, in celebration of the iconic movie starring the late Patrick Swayze and Jennifer Grey.

Throughout The Real Dirty Dancing, eight Australian celebrities will revisit the most memorable moves from the 80s classic.

TV personality, Jessica Rowe will join TV host Jamie Durie, comedian Anne Edmonds, Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice, The Bachelor winner Anna Heinrich, actor Hugh Sheridan, Underbelly star Firass Dirani and former AFL star Jude Bolton will all journey to US location of “Kellerman’s Resort” in Virginia to undergo an immersive Dirty Dancing experience.

Jessica – who recently published the book Diary of a Crap Housewife: It’s time to embrace your perfectly imperfect life – looks to be stealing the show in the upcoming four-part TV series, as she shows off her incredibly toned body during rehearsals.

The TV presenter shared the sneak peek on her Instagram account recently, writing “OMG it’s almost here!! The REAL DIRTY DANCING” in the caption, and tagging her castmates.

The cast will visit iconic locations and reenact moments from that Dirty Dancing summer in 1963.

In addition, they will learn the iconic dance routines from the film under the guidance of choreographers Todd McKenney and Kym Johnson.
