The TV presenter took to Instagram to share several pictures of daughter Molly to celebrate the milestone date.
‘What a time to be born. First the bushfires and now a global pandemic,’ the 36-year-old wrote.
‘It’s hard to know what life will look like for you in a week/month/decade,’ she said, before going on to joke that their home is “filled with joy (and poo and baby dribble and dirty clothes) but mostly joy.”
Continuing, Edwina wrote: “You wake up bright as a button. So bright, in fact, it’s hard to get you back to sleep. Memo to Molly – it’s ok to take a nap. I would like one too. ⠀
“I hope this little face gives you as much delight as it gives us. It’s a great reminder that in super strange times that life trickles on. ⠀
⠀
“My friend @sylviajeffreys put up a great post yesterday about new mums and I encourage you to give it a read. I was lucky to find a mother’s group before the community went into meltdown but lots of others missed out. Pregnant women are being told to isolate for weeks in what can already be a very isolating time. Reach out to your family, friends and neighbours.⠀
“We can never predict the future, all we can do is protect the present. So I’ll be right here smushing someone’s little cheeks for the foreseeable future xxx” she concluded.
Edwina and husband Neil Neil Varcoe welcomed Molly into the world on December 19, 2019 after a lengthy labour.
