Edwina Bartholomew has a message for all the pregnant women out there: Don’t believe everything you see on Instagram!

The Seven star is currently five months pregnant with her first child, however, despite sporting a gorgeous pregnancy glow, the 36-year-old recently opened up in a column for The Daily Telegraph explaining that what many high-profile pregnant women portray on Instagram is vastly different to real life.
“Social media keeps feeding me this impossible version of pregnancy. Well, it’s clearly possible for some ladies, but no good for me,” she wrote.
Edwina’s tongue-in-cheek piece went on to explain that she’d had visions of being “Meghan Markle pregnant” but felt more like Amy Schumer – who maintained a #no filter approach to her pregnancy with “stretch marks out, maternity undies on and breast pump on order.”
“These smokin’ hot baby mammas pop up on my feed with their thin legs, round little protrusions and perky breasts …. Jealous? You betcha,” she continued.
The TV star has instead chosen to embrace her changing body: “Those bingo wings will cradle your baby, your ginormous breasts will feed your child and that giant a*se will support you as you spend hours staring at your little miracle.”
Last month the Sunrise star – who is married to Australian reporter Neil Varcoe
– opened up to WHO about her baby miracle, explaining that her journey to motherhood hadn’t been easy.
“For many years, as a woman, you try so hard to not get pregnant,” she said.
“When you finally get to trying to get pregnant, there’s all these logistics you have to work out, like timing and it’s only really two, three days a month [you can fall pregnant]. It completely sapped the romance out of getting pregnant. But you know, I’m 35 – time’s ticking!”
