Hannah Gadsby is rumoured to be dating one of the most influential women in Hollywood, the creator of Transparent, Jill Soloway.
A source told the New York Post claim that they’ve been an item since mid-2018. It is believed things are getting serious.
“Jill recently went to Australia to meet Hannah’s family,” the source told the publication.
Gadsby, 40, has found international success for her Netflix special Nanette, her appearance at this year’s Emmys as well as her local popularity from her role in Please Like Me.
Gadsby and Soloway are touring for the Emmy winner’s memoir, She Wants It: Desire, Power, and Toppling the Patriarchy.
The insider said “they don’t want people to know they are a couple,” adding, “they are very private.”
At a talk promoting the book at New York‘s New School university last week, Soloway recounted how she had gone to see Gadsby perform live, and the next morning the pair went for breakfast.
“We had breakfast the next morning and became friends after that. We realised yes, we both have a lot of things in common that we like to talk about that generally annoy other people. Rage, patriarchy, consent before the coffee comes.”
