“Jasmine, you have taken on enormous stress with me, you have taken on another family, media and social criticism that would break most — you’ve weathered it,” said the groom.
“You stand tall, you stand strong, you stand up and keep walking.
“Everyone needs a Jasmine in their life,” he added, “if they have it they’re the luckiest people in the world. You are my rock, you are my saviour, you put me back together.”
Before concluding, “I’m a better person because of you, a better friend, a better dad — tonight I celebrate and toast you Jasmine my wife.”
On Saturday, Dec. 8 – the pair said ‘we do’ in front of 200 guests.
Their close family and friends flew from all around the world – everywhere from Australia, to the United States, the UK, Hong Kong and Singapore – to witness their special nuptials in Mexico.
Jasmine, 34, opted for a stunning above-the-knee blush wedding gown by J.Andreatta, while the groom, 44, was dressed in a Tom Ford suit.
The bridesmaids, all seven – including the bride’s sister Jade Yarbrough, business partner, Mara & Mine co-founder Tamie, Jimilla Houghton, Sarah Johnson, Sophie Pentland, Georgia Fleming and Stoj Bulic – all donned custom-made black gowns by Australian designer Rachel Gilbert.
Meanwhile, the groomsmen were a little more relaxed with their choices – given they had travelled from different destinations, they didn’t have matching suits, although they were all dressed in the same shirts and bow-ties.
Among the star-studded guest list was Julie Bishop and her partner David Panton, Roxy Jacenko, Alan Jones, Shane Warne, TODAY entertainment reporter Richard Wilkins and girlfriend Virginia Burmeister, Karl’s brother Peter Stefanovic and his wife Sylvia, as well as Karl’s manager Sharon Finnigan and WHO’s editor Keshnee Kemp.
“Jas has been the most relaxed bride through the entire week,” Jasmine’s long-term friend and WHO Editor, Keshnee reveals.
“Karl and Jas set the tone at the welcome drinks – it’s been a really beautiful celebration of love with their closest friends and family. Everyone is so happy to be here to see them become husband and wife,” she continued.
“Jas is so close to her family and the entire celebration and the wedding really is all about celebrating both families coming together – each side are playing roles throughout.”
