Schapelle stopped by Ten’s breakfast show Studio 10 for the groundbreaking interview.

The 42-year-old confirmed nothing was off-limits discussing her mental illness in prison, her new book My Story, and how she felt looking back at videos of herself from the ordeal.

Schapelle seemed at ease, talking about her relationship with Ben Panangian.

In a surprise move, KAK cut her off.

“Schapelle, I agreed with your people, one minute only, because you were only asked to do six minutes,” Kerri Anne said.

“So I have to say, we should absolutely let Schapelle go.”

The network confirmed on-air that the convicted drug trafficker did not receive payment for the interview.

It’s been a big day for Schapelle, who started her morning with radio interview on the Kyle and Jackie O show on KIIS FM.

During the raw interview with KIIS FM’s The Kyle and Jackie O Show the convicted drug trafficker said her battle with depression made her feel “like a zombie”.

“My sister used to have to sleep with me in prison. I was catatonic to the point where we had a psychiatrist come over from Australia. He said he had never experienced looking at someone in such a state. He didn’t even know if I could come out of it,” she began.

“I couldn’t think, I couldn’t even move. People would have to feed me. I couldn’t swallow or drink and they had to put water down my throat. I was a zombie.

She also told hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson, she’d ‘never say never’ to the Bachelorette- although she added that she is happy with her boyfriend, Ben Panangian

The pair first met at a church service in Kerobokan Prison in 2006.

Panangian is unable to enter Australia due to his criminal record, which has complicated matters for the couple.

Schapelle is able to return to Indonesia if she chooses but doesn’t feel “ready” doing so yet.

Instead, she and Ben meet in countries where visas are not required, for just “two precious weeks a year.”

Since being released from jail— after being charged with smuggling 4.2 kilograms of cannabis into Indonesia—the Queenslander admitted she’s finally getting her life back on track.

And, despite doing the press rounds this morning to promote her new book, says she’s is hoping to stay out of the public eye.

“I want to be happy and I want to live my life,” she dished. “I want to stop looking over my shoulder and get over my fear of media.

“I want to not annoy people. If you leave me alone, I will leave you alone. Stop being an ass hole to me and stop going out of your way to look for me and be negative. I just want to live and do things I want to do. I need to control my mind and my words and be compassionate and have empathy.”
