Khloe Kardashian is updating fans on her tumour removal in the latest episode of The Kardashians, which is serving as an important reminder to practice sun safety.
The reality tv star and mum of two has been the subject of fan speculation since she was first spotted wearing a bandage on her face in October 2022, and whilst she shared in February a few details of her ordeal, now she’s giving fans some rare insight.

In the latest teaser trailer for The Kardashians, season three, Khloe is seen talking about her procedure, revealing that a biopsy on a “spot” she noticed on her face revealed a melanoma was growing on her cheek.
Khloe told viewers she had been keeping an eye on it for “seven or eight months” before making the decision to undergo surgery, telling her sister Kylie: “I have to get a plastic surgeon to cut the whole thing out. They said that they won’t know until they open up my cheek how big they have to cut. I just don’t want a big scar on my face.”
This isn’t the first time Khloe has dealt with melanoma, she previously had an operation on her back when she was 19. Using the episode to share an important warning to fans, she explained, “I am someone who wears sunscreen every single day, religiously so no one is exempt from these things. Please take this seriously and do regular self-exams as well as your annual check-ups.”
Earlier this year, Khloe Kardashian shared details of her health scare, replying to a brash comment about the bandage on her cheek.
Khloe was quick to respond to the upfront enquiry, saying, “a bandage 🩹 I had a tumour removed from my face but I’m totally ok. Thank you for asking ❤️.”
The Kardashian sister later revealed that she wears a “scar strip” following her tumour removal on a spot she initially assumed “was something as minor as a zit”.
As reported by People, the reality star first shared the news of her medical procedure in October 2022 on her Instagram Story.
“I have seen numerous stories going around about the ever-evolving bandage on my face with some of you wondering why I’ve been wearing one for the past few weeks,” she captioned a close-up picture of her skin.
“After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7 months after realizing it was not budging.”
Continuing on, she shared, after her biopsies, she was told she needed an immediate operation for the tumour’s removal.
After a successful operation, the Story (shared by People) reads, “All my margins appear clear and now we are onto the healing process. So, here we are… you’ll continue to see my bandages and when I’m allowed, you’ll probably see a scar (and an indentation in my cheek from the tumour being removed).”
