On Monday evening, Channel Nine’s news reporter Laura Turner welcomed to twin daughters, giving birth to them via an emergency c-section.
The new mum took to Instagram, sharing her beautiful news.
“Welcome to the world our beautiful girls,” Turner wrote.
Revealing the name she and partner Daniel McPherson picked for the fraternal sisters, she continued, “Twins Isabel Leslie McPherson and Matilda Skye McPherson were born via emergency c section last night.”
“It was a dramatic rush due to placenta abruption, and we had a huge scare but they’re here now and doing well in the NICU.”
Adding, “Dad is totally in love and so is mum!”
The journalist posted four images from the day.
Turner announced she was expecting back in June.
Posting a video on Instagram, her friend Peter Hitchener announced, “Hello, I’m Peter Hitchener with wonderful news regarding two members, two much-loved members of the Nine team.”
“I speak of Laura and Dan. They are pregnant. Not only that, it’s twins! Congratulations you two.”
