Pregnancy is an undeniably exciting and somewhat daunting time for any first-time parent. While some celebrities opt for privacy, others choose to share their journey.

Married At First Sight success story Jules and Cam opted for the latter after revealing they were expecting their first child together.

Cam recently started a video series he dubbed “Dad Cam” where he says he wants to “share this journey with you, learn the ropes alongside other Dads.”

In the first video Cam goes on to say he aims to “get a head start and do a little bit of research of his own.

“I’m going to trial and test all that is going on in the baby world, from tasting all the delicious foods to the cutest of clothes to entertainment to transport and prams.”

While many fans were excited and entertained by Cam’s light hearted take on fatherhood, others were questioning whether this is just an avenue for free product endorsements.

“Plus, how many paid sponsorships you can push into a 2 min video,” one user commented.

Another user went one step further and actually did the math.

“I counted 23,” they wrote before adding: “You can’t put a price on a red headed cabbage patch doll or a Sir Donald Bradman book which I can guarantee was gifted.”

For many ex-reality stars life after TV fame can often lead to brand endorsements, collaborations and free product deals to feature on their social media handles, which have gained an exponential following thanks to their airtime.

Meanwhile, Jules has a dedicated Instagram page (@babycubandladylumps) to document her pregnancy journey, which regularly features baby products tagged with brands.

Whether the products Cam and Jules will be “testing and trialling” are purchased themselves or provided by brands wanting to be featured is not clear.

If you are genuinely interested in product reviews, there are plenty of parenting websites that provide customer experiences on a range of products out there. But, if you’re in it for the laughs and Cam’s comedic value, happy viewing.
