Reports are emerging that a person has been killed after being hit by a train at a Sydney railway station.
The horrifying incident occurred on the T3 line between Bankstown and Campsie, with trains travelling in both directions suspended from 7:20am this morning.

Taking to Twitter, Sydney Train’s official account informed Sydney siders planning to take public transport in the affected areas this morning that they were organising replacement buses.
“Trains have been suspended between Bankstown & Campsie in both directions due to a fatality at Punchbowl,” the tweet read.
“Please allow extra travel time & delay your journey where possible.”
According to New Idea an announcement was made over the loudspeaker this morning that stated a person – believed to be male – had tragically passed at Belmore due to their injuries.
“Due to a fatality at Belmore, trains have been suspended,” New Idea’s source reports the announcement saying.
