Hearts around the nation collectively broke when Married At First Sight fan-favourites Melissa Walsh and John Robertson confirmed their split in March.
Now the blonde has well and truly moved on and has announced her engagement to artist Fred Whitson.

The couple, who met through work, have shared interests and life paths that were very similar.
“We’ve both been married twice before so we have lots in common,” Walsh tells WHO.
“He was married very young, had children, then got married in his 40s and had a brief marriage, but no kids – and it’s almost identical to my past. I just felt when I met him everything was perfect.”
Everything I ever wanted is in him.”
“We were at a gallery in Daylesford, we were at lunch and it was very unexpected,” Walsh says of the proposal. “He said, ‘I’ve got something important to ask you.’ And he pulled the ring out, and I was in shock,” she says.
While they’ve only been dating since May, Walsh says she well and truly feels she was ready to say yes to marrying him. “I felt like it was too quick and maybe it was happening too soon, but I just know he’s perfect for me. With Fred, I know he’s the one.”
The loved-up duo is still working on a wedding date, but they’re certain they don’t want a big party. “For this relationship – my ideal wedding – I just want something low-key with family and friends. Or maybe elope to Paris, just the two of us!”
When asked if she plans on donning a big white dress or something more subtle, Walsh says this time around she isn’t too fussed. “[I haven’t chosen a dress] yet, I’m definitely going to do it low-key. In my first marriage, I was 19 and when I got married the second time I was 42, so now at 54 I just want something simple,” she tells WHO.
Can her Married At First Sight ex, John Robinson, expect an invite to her wedding?
“At first, when we started seeing each other I did speak a little bit [about John], but now we don’t really talk about him. I don’t like to talk about exes. I have nothing against John, he’s a great guy. He just isn’t right for me.
